Lining cannot fix a pipe that has shifted or settled. If your pipe has a "belly" (sag) holding water, a liner just follows that bad shape. Only excavation and replacement can correct the pitch to ensure proper flow.
A lined pipe is fragile; you generally cannot use a traditional snake to clear future clogs because the snake head can tear the lining. A replaced pipe is standard, durable, and easy to service for decades.
